May 17th

Kristy's grandfather is from Norway, and served as a Missionary President there, so Kristy's family enjoys some traditions of Norway. May 17th is the Norwegian Independence Day, where they have a huge parade. In America we celebrate by going to a smaller parade of our own. Chris and Braxton were first time fans, okay so not really but the polsa malompa was good. It is a fancy tortilla wrapped hotdog. Kristy was born on May 17th so it is extra special for her. Instead of going to the parade when Kristy was born, her brother and sister dressed in the traditional norwegian clothes and greeted their newest sibling. Although President Monson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints wasn't there this year, we were blessed with beautiful weather to enjoy our celebration, in Norway this year they celebrated in 45 degree weather. So that began the day for Kristy's birthday celebration. We were able to take a few family pictures, so we hope you enjoy them.
